Biography

A Life of Purpose & Impact

Babajide Ogunseinde, MD, FAAOS

Dr. Babajide Ogunseinde is an orthopedic spine surgeon, innovator, educator, author, international speaker, and healthcare leader whose career has been dedicated to improving the lives of patients suffering from spinal disorders, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and chronic pain.

Raised in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, Dr. Ogunseinde’s journey reflects the power of faith, perseverance, education, and purpose. After immigrating to the United States, he graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University before earning his medical degree as valedictorian of his class at Howard University College of Medicine. He subsequently completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency and Spine Fellowship through Harvard Medical School-affiliated training programs at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Ogunseinde has performed thousands of spinal procedures and has become recognized for his work in minimally invasive spine surgery and sacroiliac joint stabilization. He is the developer of the Posterior Medial-to-Lateral (PML) SI Joint Fusion Technique. This minimally invasive approach simplifies SI joint fusion while promoting stability, early mobilization, and preservation of future surgical options.

His work has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at national and international meetings. He has been invited to lecture and teach surgeons across the United States and around the world, including presentations in Los Angeles, Dubai, Singapore, and other international venues. His mission extends beyond surgery to include education, prevention, innovation, leadership, and patient empowerment.

Dr. Ogunseinde is the founder of the PML Global Initiative, an educational movement dedicated to advancing awareness, diagnosis, treatment, and surgeon education regarding sacroiliac joint dysfunction. He is also the founder of the PML Mastery Program and the PML Mastery App, innovative educational platforms designed to teach surgeons the principles and techniques of PML SI Joint Fusion through online learning, hands-on cadaveric training, and global collaboration.

In 2026, the PML Mastery App received international recognition with a Global Recognition Award for Innovation of the Year. Committed to lifelong learning and leadership development, Dr. Ogunseinde is a 2026 candidate for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Organizational Management. He is also pursuing certification in Physician Executive Leadership through the American Association for Physician Leadership (AAPL), reflecting his passion for healthcare leadership, organizational excellence, and physician development.

In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Ogunseinde is an accomplished author. His writings focus on faith, perseverance, purpose, innovation, leadership, chronic pain, and personal transformation. He is the author of:

  1. Faith and Purpose: The PML Story
  2. SI Joint Dysfunction: The Truth Shall Set You Free
  3. Messages From Our Father

Through his books, speaking engagements, educational programs, and mentorship, he seeks to inspire others to discover purpose through adversity, embrace lifelong learning, and pursue excellence in every area of life.

Dr. Ogunseinde believes that true healing occurs when medicine, movement, nutrition, family support, personal responsibility, innovation, and faith work together.

Education & Training

Harvard Medical School & Beyond

Trained at one of the world’s foremost medical institutions, Dr. Ogunseinde brought the rigour of Harvard’s academic tradition to every operating theatre, boardroom, and lecture hall he entered. His surgical career spans two decades of frontier practice, academic leadership, and systems-level innovation — grounded always in service and purpose.
